I get a frantic call from my mother that asks about her iPhone4S and how she lost her contacts. Not all of them, just seemingly the ones that she has messaged previously, so if they are in messages, it just lists the number instead of the name. People in her contact list that have been called but never messaged are still there. Tried everything I could think of from the top of my head, *228 option #2 (It's a Verizon phone), powercycling the phone, and making sure for her to turn off WiFi so that it doesn't "backup" the mistake to iCloud when she plugs it into the wall.
The last backup was done last night, I'm trying my best to avoid walking her through wiping the device and restoring from the iCloud backup. Any other ideas? She said she thought she say something about "global storage" come across the screen right before the contacts ran away, but I couldn't find anything via Google.
She's running the latest 7.1.2.
