Good Morning All
I am troubleshooting what's seems to be a very common symptom of old Imac's. The one in reference is a Apple iMac "Core 2 Duo" 3.06 24-Inch (Early 2009).
I have tried setting the PRAM and tried booting from CD. While connected to my HDTV, the systems seems to boot up normally with the normal chime, its sees the Leopard CD which I select and then goes into spinning for about 5 to 10 minutes and then freezes. I have also tried boot from an external drive ( there no HDD in the machine right now). The systems sees the external drive with both recovery partition and OS partition and once selected, it goes again into spinning and freezes again. I read thru the previous posting, and couldn't find anyone sharing there experience with the vertical lines while using the mini dvi-to-hdmi.
Any suggestions?
