How's The iPhone 5s on iOS 8

So since the 5s was designed for iOS 7 and IOS 8 is designed for the iphone 6 how does it run does it lag at least a little bit or does it waste battery like IOS 7.1.2
 
You either dot the i or don't. Better to dot, otherwise it looks clumsy.
As for the actual problem at hand, it lags like Android 2.2.1 on a 2016 entry model.
 
I think there's a couple threads on this already. It runs just as smooth as on 7.1.2 which is not a surprise given that the A7 is so powerful.
