I'm not quite satisfied with my new rMBP battery. I often have situations like 84% charge and 4-5h remaining. And I don't really do much. Just Safari browsing with Flash blocked, some Word-processing, flux and Dropbox running. Brightness at 50%.

Other people say their rMBP 15" devices are running like 8-10 hours.

Might anyone please reply?

Here's a CoconutBattery screenshot I made yesterday, my device is 13 days old.

From today:
Current charge 70%, 3,5 hours remaining.

The only thing that's odd to me is that the battery has 633 mAh more capacity than it was designed for. Your battery problems could stem from a whole slew of other things. Spotlight indexing, backups, program syncing, or some rogue process could be the cause of the 'reduced' battery life. I will defer to those that are more knowledgeable in the ways of Mac OS X to be able to diagnose any of those issues; or to at least help you in diagnosis.

The calculation of the remaining time on a charge is not accurate, thats it.
There is no problem with your battery unless you really just get 3.5 hours in the end with 70% remaining under light load.

My 15" rMBP is also just 2 weeks old. When I started it earlier, it was right at 70% (what a coincidence :D) and showed only 4.5 hours remaining for a while. The remaining time went up slowly after that, and now at 60% it's at 6:49 hours.

So don't worry...
