Quick question on back-up

Hi Guys
Noticed quite a list in the external back-up drive
The list is in the backup.backupdb file (what ever that means, I'm technology challenged)
The last file on the list says latest
Should I be deleting all the previous files?

Or, does TM only update new info?

Only just noticed this when I was checking where my LR catalog files were going

Don't mess around inside that backups.backupdb file or you may break your Time Machine backup set. TM will manage that file on its own.

TM only copies over the changes/additions each time it runs then purges off old data using this criteria.
