Hello.Bought my first macbook and got a question.Currently ive got a mbp 4.1 early 2008 15inch . Inna system preferences -trackpad i dont have a 3-4 fingers multitouch gestures,but i heard my mbp support multitouch.How i can enable 3 and 4 finger gestures? mac os 10.6.8

10.7 was never needed for multitouch gestures. They existed on Snow Leopard just as well. In Lion they only changed some gestures like the three finger swipe became a two finger swipe.
It is just really old hardware. Why are you starting to use one of these now? Just about anything is better today.
You can try and install BetterTouchTool and see if that gets a bit more out of that old touchpad.

Have you enabled the gestures in your system preferences' trackpad pane?
They are turned off by default on older Macs I believe. Your computer does have a multi-touch trackpad, as my girlfriend has my old early 2008 MBP and the trackpad functions the same as my 2012 machine.
These computers do not support 3/4-finger gestures, regardless of OS:
MacBook Air (Original)
MacBook Air (Late 2008)
MacBook Air (Mid 2009)
MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2008)
MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2008)
You're out of luck. Your Mac doesn't support it.

How do i enable?cos when i go to the sys pref-trackpad i dont even have an option for pinchtozoom and other 2finger gestures.
Mac notebooks that have a Multi-Touch trackpad with a separate button include:
MacBook Air (Original)
MacBook Air (Late 2008)
MacBook Air (Mid 2009)
MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2008)
MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2008)
And these MacBooks with multitouch DO NOT support 3 fingers or 4 fingers gestures. Look at the support link again.
These MacBooks only support 2-finger multitouch. Not 3 or 4-finger multitouch.
So you are still out of luck.

His Mac does support it. Only some gestures can be ruled out. I went ahead and borrowed my old 4,1 MBP from my girlfriend, which I am typing on right now, in between using all 3 and 4 finger gestures.
Want me to take video proof of me doing it? I will if you still don't believe me.
OP, you simply need to update to a newer version of OS X. Get Mavericks, it's free.
