I upgraded to Mavericks last week. Everything went fine.

However yesterday my DVD player's audio video is out of sync. It's fine when I first log on but when I pause it and play again it's out of sync.

Quitting and starting the DVD player doesn't help. Neither does taking out the DVD and reinserting it.

I have to restart my MacBook Pro (mid 2010) to get it to work again.

I posted in "Hardware" because sadly I suspect it's a hardware issue and not software....hope springs eternal.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

I should add I'm just playing a regular movie DVD.

Thanks so much.

Anna

Nevermind I found the problem. It was Boom doing it. Uninstalled and all is well in DVDland. I don't seem to need it anymore as the volume is good. I might install the new version as I did like the way it softened some of the audio.
