13" 2012 rMBP - External monitor help

I currently have my 13" macbook pro retina hooked up to my 23" HP Pavilion iPS monitor; however.. The quality appears blurred and poor, especially with text.

Is there anyway to fix this issue? Tried searching about but can't find a good fix.

BTW I use HDMI - HDMI to connect
