I never touch my screen, sneeze on it, nothing

Yet it doesn't take long after cleaning for it to get filthy

Any ideas?

In door Pollution

All screens do this over time. It draws in dirt. Your LCD TV screens need cleaning as well over time..There is a word for this, but too darn lazy to look it up.

Static electricity.

but that shouldn't effect new screens, just CRT's.

You notice more because it's black and glossy I suspect.

Yes it does - I think when the screen is closed the keys touch the screen surface. All the grime from your fingers will be transferred to the screen.

Mine is the same way, constantly filthy even though I don't ever touch it. As stated, it has to be from the keys touching the screen when closed.
