I think that detail is what makes the iPhone 6 ugly. At least, in white. The position change between the light sensor and the camera. First photo with, second without. Even they could do it like in iPhone 4/4s, rectangular. But iPhone 6's makes it feel cheap.

Dumbest of all possible reasons to think this phone looks ugly.

Makes it feel cheap? Yeah the sensors at the top definitely affect how other people perceive me and how I perceive life.

Ok, I see no one cares about that, I was surprised when nobody noticed that detail. I think I will have to put a sticky note on it. Seriously, I hate that LOL.

Perhaps the engineers had a valid reason to switch it? You don't exactly know yet, let's wait for Tuesday before we start slating the phone over a light sensor...

The worst of the iPhone 6: Light Sensor

That thing you seem to have circled is not the light sensor.
Guess you don't have a problem after all.

You're welcome :) now you can sleep easy at night,

We don't know that.

The 'black hole' for the camera is bigger on the 5s and the sensor is smaller.
On the possible 6, it looks switched.

Wait for 9/9

Irrelevant. No need to wait until 9/9.

Light sensor is not visible on white iDevices.

I don't think it's that no one noticed, I think it's that no one cares. At all.

I am jealous that this seems to be the most important thing to you. Something tells me that you do not have a family to provide for, rent or mortgage to be paid, health insurance to be bought, etc.

One day you will and you will not notice things like this or at least allow them to disturb you.

It's still visible if you look at close enough.

The iPhone one is more noticeable.

I find them similar, for instance the iPhone light sensor is not even visible in any of the OP's photos.

Are you serious?
One of the 2 black circles on all 3 pictures is the light sensor.
I can clearly see it.
