White vertical line on 2011 MBP display

Hi, Today I spotted a thin white color line that runs through the display. I tried restarting the computer but still it comes up when I turn on the computer.

Any ideas? Is there anything that I can try to get it fixed?

Could be a sign of Radeongate hitting your Mac.

Could also be a faulty screen. Not everything on a 2011 is Radeongate...

OP, does it still do it when connected to an external display?

I could not test it with an external display. But here is my observation. It doesn't appear in screenshots. And it comes as soon as the display is on and stays until the display is turned off. It comes at the same place even when the resolution is changed.

It's the LCD panel most likely.

Artifacts from a faulty GPU would capture on the screenshot.
