inb4 you shouldn't have used a non MFi sync cable; i knew i probably oughtn't have done it but i gambled, lost and now i think the cable has caused a lasting problem

my iphone 5 was charging fine with an imitation lightning cable, despite the 'accessory not supported' messages. then did some things by itself while i was using it, switching apps, tapping this and that and calling voicemail. iphone did this a second time and then suddenly reset itself .

I immediately stopped using the cable at this point, binned it. since then however, i haven't had battery issues as described in web articles warning about non-MFi cables, but my cellular and wifi are now problematic. cellular is sort of there but not fast like it shoud be, so i reset the network settings a few times, and it finally fixed it but the wifi had a tiny issue, so i reset it again and now it's back to slow/barely working).

has anyone had the same problem? has anyone fixed this problem? i want to restore my iphone, but i haven't done it before. I have backed it up on to my computer, do i simply click restore software in itunes wait for it to restore and then restore the backup afterwards?
