On contract I pay $400 for a 64gb plus
Att next, I pay $850 in the end (I always pay for it at the 12 month mark)
Outright I pay 850 right away.

If I buy under contract, isn't the termination fee $360? Couldn't I just buy it then cancel my contract?
That would come out to $760 plus tax...am I off here?
Sorry for the hassle ...it's been bugging me the last couple days. I'm picking up a phone tomorrow so I'm thinking

So did I. only thing I can think of is they will cut your line and your number may float away?

They probably will. That's why you want to add a new line to the same account, and then swipe the sim-cards. If it's in the first 14 days, they can ask you to return the device. After 14 days you'll pay ETF + partial bill for the other line, so here is the difference.
