I have a U2 iPod Video 30gb that is not charging, it is in excellent exterior condition. I took the unit apart and have looked for hours to see if there is anything that is broken, burned or missing and have not found a thing! Battery got consumed while I tried to run a diagnostic so I decided to order a higher capacity model from ebay. Other than not charging, my iPod is not recognized by my Macbook Pro 15" only until I conenct simultaneously the headphones and connector cable at the same time. i would greatly appreciate help with this. It is an old iPod but 30gbs holds a lot of the music I used to listen to on my daily work commute. :apple:
