So I have the iPhone 6 62GB with Verizon Wireless. The last two days I have had this odd issue when I try to make a phone call. I get a recording that says my call can't be completed as dialed. However, If i enter the area code the call goes through. Each time this has happened I have been on LTE. I also found out if I remove and reset my SIM card or enter and exit airplane mode it fixes this. Anyone else experiencing this?

At some point in the past Verizon and I think many other carriers mentioned that for full and better comparability it's best to always use an area code even for the same one you are in. I know it doesn't necessarily specifically explain what you observed, but something related to thst could be behind it (even if you perhaps didn't really run into it before).
