Apple Pay card limits?

I've been adding credit cards/debit cards to Apple Pay -- so far the process is pretty easy. However, I've noticed the following odd things:

1) Barclay card won't activate. It says that they're not using Apple Pay. Barclay card is what Apple uses for their 0% financing, etc.. Very strange.
2) After inputting 8 cards, that seems to be the limit. I can't enter more than that. The option to add more is greyed out.
3) Wells Fargo is slow, and requires an app.
4) Bank of America requires a phone call.
5) Amex is super fast -- text message is all that's needed.
6) Citi does an automated call or text message. Pretty quick.

Anyone else noticed anything else?
 
I know there is indeed a limit. I thought it was 12 but 8 could be correct. I guess since you see a gray option that sort of verifies it.

My two Bank of America cards verified without needing anything.
 
Apple Pay card limits?

I added my Bank of America Debit Card. Was quick and easy. Simple phone call and I was up and running.

Would not want to add more than a few cards for now since few places are setup to take ApplePay right now.

Same issue and Barclays actually sent me an e-mail a week ago saying it would work. This card is already my default on iTunes as well. So very odd.

Edit: Chase debit activated w/ no issues.

-Bank of America Master Card activated without verification (only needed to input the 3 digits on the back of the card).

-Chase Slate Visa required either a text message, phone call, or email notification.

So far I'm very impressed by how easy it was to add the two cards. Can't wait to start using them this week in stores!! :cool:
 
Late last month WF bank sent email of how to set up Apple Pay with the bank.
It was very a generic setup, but I look at it as WF is all in and will support Apple Pay.
 
I don't know how long will it takes for WF to verify my two cards.
I added both my WF debit and credit card and went through WF verify app. Still waiting for confirmation. :confused:
 
I got both of my amex cards working, but with Bank Of America it took a little longer with a phone call which the operator couldn't see my card in the system that was already added in the passbook. Anyway I forgot that Discover is not on board yet and I tried to add that lol.
 
All my cards were easily verified.. My wife's cards (citi) are taking forever to verify. I've asked for a text message, and there's no text messages forthcoming.

Might have to get her to call the bank.
 
I added Bank of America debit card and AMEX Business card and I didn't have to verify any of them, no phone call, no text, no nothing...weird :eek:

Wells Fargo VISA Debit Card activated quickly and no need for the Verify App. Don't even have it.

AMEX activated quickly... no text message or any other verification needed.

Chase United MileagePlus Explorer VISA card required that I enter an activation code.
 
Every card I wanted to add required verification.. Odd that some people are getting their cards activated without anything more than a photo.

Strange....

The only card that required additional verification from me was the Chase United card which has the credit card number on the back of the card. I was unable to get the camera scan to work with this card and had to add the details manually.

Perhaps less verification is required when the card is scanned?

I scanned every card.

I did type the security number in manually, from the back of the card...??

On Apple site Barclay (and my other card PNC) are ones listed as coming later this year. Seems odd that their flagship card (I know it is a bank) could not be ready to use.

Thus far 3 cards, BoA, Cap One and Chase, activated without any other requirements than my security code. Photo, security code, validated.

I wonder if Discover is coming on board.
