I am awaiting delivery of my iPad Air 2! I am keeping my iPad 3rd gen for my kids to use. I am trying to decide if I should wipe my old one and restore the one, or just start fresh with the new one. Thanks.

Depends on what YOU want to do. If you want to keep the settings and data from the old one, then go ahead and restore from backup. If you don't want the settings and data, then don't.

Oh, and wiping the old iPad is a separate decision. You want to have both ipads with the same settings and data, that can work, too. Well, I'd rename one of them to avoid confusion.

I wiped my ipad3 when my new air 2 arrived yesterday. I then reloaded just what my spouse looks at on our retiring ipad2.
It seems a bit zippier without all my old stuff on it. I had way too many apps.

I'd wipe it clean and start new. Anytime I've passed long a ipad I always start fresh. It'll run a little better too. ;)
