The video card in my 1.1 is horrifically slow. I need suggestions for a new one to get that is far superior, but not incredibly superior to it's current 7300 GT. Is $100-$200 a fair price range? I have no idea about Pro graphics card upgrades.

Also, just as a point of reference, whats the best possible card I can get disregarding my price range?

Also, what's a fair price for the original 7300 GT? I see some of them on Ebay for $100+ but that sounds kinda ridiculous to me considering how old they are.

The video card I could suggest for your 1.1 Mac Pro are the Radeon 4870, 5770 or 5780. For Nvidia there is the Quadro 4800 or the 8800GT. The Radeon 5780 is probably the highest model you can use.

I use a Nvidia GTX 460, by no means the greatest graphics card, but it gets the job done. Runs Yosemite and Windows 7 (including tons of games) very well (on my TV in 720p). If you don't mind losing the apple logo loading screen, you can use just about any Nvidia card in your Mac Pro.

Thanks for the advice guys! It's funny that a lot of people mention the apple logo not appearing, because my computer starts up super fast so I don't turn my monitor in time to see it anyway.
