Hello!
I'll make this super short and sweet.. I've been using torrents for a while, I know enough about it to not consider myself a "complete noob".. I primarily use "Private" trackers, which require you to maintain a certain Download-to-Upload Ratio, in order to remain a member or to avoid having to buy more gigabytes to use for your downloads..
I'm trying to do more of the "sharing is caring" thing.. but I'm a little stumped about this one thing when it comes to "Seeding" a completed download out to other users (as to increase and improve my ratio)..
Now, the only thing is that 99.99% of the "completed torrents" end up being in .RAR format, which you have to "un-RAR", in order to provide you with the actual content you're interested in..
How is it possible to continue "Seeding" completed downloads, while still being able to "un-RAR" and delete/move whatever items that I don't want to keep (such as artwork, NFO's, etc)?
I know that if I change the original file by "un-RAR'ing" it, it will no longer be the "original" file that the torrent is looking for..
I know that the quick/obvious answer could be to keep the original in the original location, without doing anything at all to it, and then copy + paste a version of it to another location on my MacBook Pro, and then work off of that copied version (leaving the original version still fully RAR'd, or however it comes in it's "original" state)..
This seems super redundant, and a big pain in the butt (as well as using up unnecessary extra harddrive space) to be making duplicate copies of all the things I download, just so that I can be a nice guy and contribute back to the community/swarm..
Is there any hope for me?
