Can I open MS Office 2011 documents from Google Drive in Office Mobile?

I use Google Drive to store all the digital work I do for college, which is usually in the form of a Microsoft Office 2011 file of some sort. I just downloaded MS Office for Mobile. My question is, can I go into the Google Drive app and have any of my Office documents opened in the Office Mobile app?
 
Sounds like you should be able to, and sounds like you should be able to try it and know for sure.
