First, I apologize if this question has been beaten into the ground, but I couldn't find it after a couple days of searching.
I just got an iPhone6 and when I plug it into my computer, iTunes does not detect my phone at all! Previously I used an iPod touch on this computer (not sure if that has anything to do with it) and it shows up right away on the side bar once I plug it in. But, with my iPhone it doesn't show anything at all. iPhoto opens up automatically with all my pics, but iTunes won't work!!! No sign of any type of phone plugged in on iTunes.
Would really appreciate some help. This is way too complicated to put music on my phone from my iTunes library on my MacBook. So frustrating.
Thank you,
-Nima

Sidenote-- I also don't see any sign of iCloud on my laptop which makes that feature almost moot for me
Is there somewhere certain I should be looking to access my iCloud on my MacBook? Is it possible that my MacBook is too old for that? My computer is about 4 years old and runs Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
Someone please help before I throw this stuff in the trash. THANKS!
