I've got a Powerbook G4 running OSX 10.5.8 PPC. How do I change the wallpaper on this thing?

CTRL + click on the desktop, then a pop-up menu will appear with "change desktop background" as one of the options. Then go from there.

Or you could open up system preferences and then go to the desktop and screensaver section and then change the wallpaper that way as well.

Actually, I meant how do I add my own wallpapers to 10.5.8 PPC. Where are wallpapers kept and how do I change the permissions to allow adding them?

Every picture in the Pictures folder will be available for a background. Put images you want in there. Then go to System Preferences on the dock and go to "Desktop and Screen Saver" and select the Pictures folder on the left and they will appear. Click on the image to apply it.

That is an awesome background you have there.
