Apple TV cutting out

So this has been an ongoing problem for months and I have had enough. Ever since one or two updates ago, when I connect my iPhone to Apple TV, first the videos and songs take a long time to load and second, every few minutes, it disconnects. I have FiOS and my laptop, TV, iPhone, and iPad work fast and great. The Apple TV even works great when I use it for Netflix, etc. But when I connect my iPhone or iPad, it is horrible. Any suggestions? Latest updates on everything is installed.
