Hey,
My late 2010 iMac Seagate HD crashed,i couldn't retrieve any data whilst the failed HD was still in the machine, unfortunately i didn't have anything backed up - lost heaps of music and pics.Iv'e now replaced it with a WD HD.
Is there any way i can retrieve my photos by somehow connecting my crashed HD to my iMac and using a sophisticated scanning programme? What cables would i need to buy etc.
I'm willing to pay for a decent app/programme - as i had wedding pics and heaps of other stuff i'd like to get back.
would really appreciate any help with this guys.
Also,is there any way to estimate the chances of being able to recover data? As i'm guessing it won't be cheap.
Basically i was running a routine verify disk scan, the results were "The HD has failed, please contact apple" - i was unable to log in or do anything.
Thanks heaps in advance guys,Silus.
