iCloud Family Sharing; Calendar Notifications Help

My partner and I have family sharing enabled and like to share a calendar for joint events.

I get notifications when my partner creates or edits events however, when I create or add events, my partner fails to receive a notification which is resulting in me adding dates and my partner overlooking events.

Is there anything that I can check?
