My current set up:
15" MBP 8,2
2.5GHz i7 Quad-Core
8GB RAM
750GB HD
1GB 6770M
24" ASUS monitor
new: 32" LED TV
Now I was quite disappointed to discover that running both my new TV and my monitor was a no-go. I've researched some USB-to-Thunderbolt alternatives but they're apparently known to be laggy.
This has me potentially wanting to sell the MacBook Pro and purchase a Mac Mini or equivalent. The only issue is the MBP is used regularly, in the sense of gaming (CoD, NFS, some CS) and regular picture editing (Pixelmator). I'm looking for something that could definitely handle this without issue, preferably on two monitors (24" + 32")
Fully speccing out the 2014 Mac Mini is around $1200 CAD with discount, but I'm not sure if it will be that much quicker than my laptop to make it worth it (or possible)? Are there any other alternatives?
