iOS 8.1.1 iphone 6 plus safari problem "remember me" not working

I am having problems getting my iPhone 6 Safari to remember sites. I am allowing cookies. But even though I click "remember me" on a site like MacRumors, every time I leave and come back I need to sign in again. I do not have this problem on my other iPhone or my iPad. Any suggestions?


EDIT: Doh, I toggled "Private" by mistake. OK now.
