My mid-2009 Macbook has an aftermarket battery in it(came with the computer when I bought it), and I've been pretty unhappy with the performance. It drains fast, and seems to have a "dead spot" where it will drop from about 25% down to about 10% over the span of a few seconds. It will also turn off randomly when not plugged in.

I'd like to try and OEM battery. Does anyone know-first of all-if Apple still makes batteries for this computer? I'm having a terrible time finding them on Apple's website. I'd prefer to buy directly from Apple, as the OEM ones I find online at Ebay and Amazon are(I expect) close in price to what Apple would charge($80-90) and I also don't know how old they are.
