So I was watching a YouTube video when my Mac started getting ******* crazy and almost gave me a heart attack. Turns out it was an out of the blue FaceTime call. I never use that program and so no, I didn't disable it on this new Mac. But what kind of company would set such a default setting? I can't remember having to deal with such an annoying software "feature" in my life. Anyway, my question is: since my webcam light turned green, was the person calling me able to see me? That would be the cherry on top of the cake.

Well you have to sign in to use it....guess you must have done that, you can't just randomly make a FaceTime call to a Mac without FT being logged in.

Yes the green light indicates the camera is on. They will see you once you answer the call.
