I just bought this 500GB drive on the 24th from Amazon for $229. Now its $189 from Amazon and Newegg. Its also supposed to come with a free download of Far Cry 4 but I didn't care about that. Amazon gave me a refund for the difference.
Made for a super easy upgrade to my 2012 MBP.

Remember to update the drive once you get it, otherwise it'll live a very short life.

Picked up one from Newegg for $190, no tax, and will sell the FarCry 4 game card on ebay. So might end up at about $160 for the drive.

Is updating the drive like a simply download and install?
