I noticed something that looks like "scratches" in my scans, but I don't remember moving my scanner in any way that would cause them. I wanted to check to see if anybody had any ideas what they are and if they really are scratches in the glass (however they got there) how I could go about fixing my scanner to scan clearly. I wanted to ask for opinions before I went taking it apart. Is it something on the glass? Or worse, is there something wrong with the scanner and not just the glass?
It's most noticeable on dark scans. Here are a couple examples.
One without any filters and one with a quick level adjust in Photoshop so you can better see them.

My scanner is definitely out of any kind of warranty so I know I'm on my own for repairs.
Is there anything I can do to fix or reduce them?
