Should I buy an iPhone 5 for $100?

My friend is selling his silver iphone 5, 16 gb for AT&T and has offered it to me for $100. I currently have an iPhone 6, but the price seems really good to pass up. My wife currently has the Galaxy s5, and can try to convince her to come to the dark side of the iPhone. Do you think it's good as a back up phone? Also does the iPhone 5 run ios 8 well?

get it.. worst case senerio your wife doesn't want it and you can sell it for around 250 and make a profit. its a win-win.

I don't see them going for $250 on eBay; unless I'm blind. It's the 5 and not the 5s. If I can turn a profit, I should do it.

Thats how much they are still selling for here in Australia. People are buying the 5 for as much as 300.

I'd say get it. You're easily going to turn a minimum 50% profit on it. Just make sure you run an IMEI check on it before purchasing to check for blacklisting etc, even though this guy is your friend. There's gotta be a reason why he's letting it go for so low.

They are going for £250 for the 32GB model here in the UK at the moment. I sold mine 2 months ago for £259 with postage so it looks like you have a great deal with your friend. Snap it up!

iOS 8 is pretty smooth on my iPhone 5 (32GB), no lags.
