Just a couple days after announcing the app and launching it on Android, Facebook has launched the Messenger companion app Stickered on the App Store. The app allows users to overlay their photos with "stickers", which are Facebook's version of emojis, and send them to their friends via the Messenger app.

It's sticker time! Add cute characters, funny faces and more to make your photos pop.

- Pick as many stickers as you want
- Stick them on before or after you snap a photo
- Decorate photos from your camera roll, too
- Drag, pinch, stretch and rotate stickers to make the perfect scene
- Send your creations to friends with Messenger
If a user doesn't have Messenger installed, the app prompts them to download it from the App Store. Photos with stickers on them are also saved on a user's camera roll so they can be shared to non-Facebook social networks.

Stickered is a universal app that's available for free on the App Store. [Direct Link]

Just......stop.....facebook! As if being forced to use Messenger for chatting isn't bad enough?

Shouldn't this part of the Messenger app? Shouldn't the Messenger app be part of the FaceBook app?

they just keep making it easier and easier to stay away from the entire Facebook platform.
I've never used the time sink known as Facebook. Now years after its launch its no secret that other than some usefulness, the negative effects are becoming certifiable and detrimental. What's amazing is how similar Zuckerberg is to Jobs in his ability to sell the smoke and mirrors.

Why? Just why? I don't see why this can't be combined with Facebook and Messenger into ONE app (if this even needs to be included in any app!)

Their research analysts have obviously decided that it helps Facebook in some way to split them off like this. Perhaps it makes it easier to track usage patterns, or inflates the number of hits... I don't know, but in some way or another Facebook expects to make more money this way.

So now you can fill an entire page with Facebook apps!

...When last year you only needed one app...

And on top of that it's all features that are within the code of the actual Facebook app. Simple jailbreak tweaks can unlock them again.

A...companion app for a companion app?

And it's not even a remotely original idea - line (who I think we're the first to make big cute emoji and call them "stickers") had an app like this years ago.

Why in the hell would I want to put stickers on a photo?? Oh and yet another app that they expect people to install when it should all be included in a single app

Is this whole separate app thing just because facebook devs don't know how to have different teams work on different features, then link it all together in one app?!
That was one thing mentioned with the statement about messenger or the updates every 2 weeks (can't remember which), that updates were delayed because teams were waiting for other teams to finalise and implement their features.. This solves that problem I guess.

Why? Just why?

Yay....app for app that used to be part of app.

it's more than that. You can put stickers on photos you take. you don't have to send the photo's through messenger. It make sense to keep it separate, cause not everyone wants a bloated app. download the features you want/need.
