In Before "Ever since I upgraded to 8.1.3 my battery life sucks, my music got deleted, my health app data got wiped" threads.
It really is quite amazing how people know their battery life is 100% worse in the first 5 minutes of the update being available

My battery life took a nose dive as soon as macrumors started discussing 8.1.3.

If you've got Spotlight switched off and you're in the same place you usually are, using your phone for the same things, then you can tell within an hour if the battery is draining faster. I can anyway.
I think there is one thing we're missing though. I think after every update the spotlight cache is rebuilt if I'm not mistaken. Shouldn't that use extra energy?
I have all my spotlight entries unticked, so this background stuff after a new install doesn't affect me.
8.1.3 probably won't cover a lot of bugs. My guess is 8.2 or 8.3 will be the one that we all will finally say iOS 8 is great!
To be honest, I'm starting to look at it as Apple's version of Windows 8.
It took them a whole year to get iOS7 working correctly and even when they abandoned the o/s at 7.1.2, it still had some obvious bugs (spinning data wheels which required a hard reset to cure but soon came back again etc).
Yep then iOS 9 will drop and it starts all over.
Actually 8.1.1 works fine for me. Nothing really stands out as a major problem.

yup, 8.1.1 works good for my phone too and staying there.
I'd hope that 8.1.3 would be for A5 devices and 8.2 for everything else beyond the A5 chip.
But, that would be too sensible..
Will there be an iOS9 or will apple just jump to iOSX?
(iOSX looks better from a marketing POV)

Yeah that would make since in the iOSX. Then just leave it as such and send updates per sae not entire new iOS. I would think 8.1.3 would be bug fix for all devices though. Interesting your signature, I was 8.1.1 then back to 8.1 and back to 8.1.1 as well.
There are several bugs that are prevalent in 8.1.2.
1. Third Party Keyboards....
2. iMessage still flakes out after awhile where you can't see your own message you just sent and need to restart app.
3. Saw an issue yesterday with FaceTime after a call it wouldn't end and close out. Had to reboot phone to get it to go away.
Those are just off the top of my head that I experienced recently...

As apple cannot deliver stable OTA updates on iOS 8.x.x, it's iTunes from now on, hence the jump from 8.1.1 to 8.1 to 8.1.1 again
