Heat Spreader Ram or Not Heat spreader for 2009 to 2010 upgrade

heat spreaders are usually only needed on FB-DIMMs and registered DIMMs. so far I haven't seen UDIMMs with heatspreaders... I prefer UDIMMs because they run cooler.

Here's another good choice for ECC RAM. The seller ships to Europe. A friend that has done many 4,1 to 5,1 upgrades swears by this RAM.

Yep. Rams without heat spreaders run cooler. I've used various Mac Pros using rams with heat spreaders and other machines without heat spreaders.
