Sorry to be so thick but...

I've downloaded the upgrade and carefully put in exactly the same email account info as on my iphone, turned off the SSL button etc.

Got full wi-fi signal, but keep getting a 'can't connect to the server' message.

Er, am I missing something here?
 
Does Safari work? If so, go to Settings - Mail - Select you account, if set up, or create a new one.

Get back to me after this.
 
You mean I have to select the only account I've set up? Just assumed it did that automatically.

Doh! I feel stoooopid if it's that simple.

Don't have pod with me at work right now - will try in a few hours.

Tried that. No joy.

All the email account details are correct. Safari works fine.

Just keep getting the message "unable to access server"


ARGH! Really needed this to work this weekend.

Who is your provider and in outgoing mail do you have name and password in there also?

If that does not work, I would delete it and reinstall the account. Especially if everything else works, Safari, weather, etc.
 
Finally sorted. Thanks for the advice.

Restored the pod, changed the password and it works.
