Firstly thanks to all for the help today..its been an eventful one:eek:

Okay, next up is installing leopard..I've installed the disc 1 but I already have OSX 10.4.11 I want to install in a way that wont erase or wipe existing applications...I am a total, total noob so don't overestimate me..I'm new to mac (which was the best move ever!!!) and this is one big learning curve.

To top it all I'm learning logic 8 at the same time as learning where everything is on my Macbook pro:eek:

If you already have OS X Tiger installed on your Mac, the Leopard installer should see it and do an upgrade be default. This won't erase any of your personal files. Though I do recommend you back up your files first just in case something goes wrong. I'd recommend SuperDuper or CarbonCopyCloner.
