so im looking to buy a Bluetooth handsfree device to use with my iphone. Besides the generic headphones with the little mic, is there another device (preferably Bluetooth) that would work to both talk on the phone and listen to music? My friend has these wireless Bluetooth headphones for his iPod, so I'm thinking this is definitely possible.

I have 3 bluetooth headphones:

1) Apple Bluetooth works fine when I am just monitoring the iPhone for phone calls...no music playback.

2) The iSkin Cerulean F1 with the TX Transmitter works great for both listening to music, sounds are average, answering the phone has not been an issue on either end. The only downside to this setup is the wire between the two earpieces. It is fixed and non-removable so if you just want to use the phone feature, you have a dangling piece that pulls on the other (while driving for example. Cant have something on both ears)

3) Jabra 8010 with their iPod transmitter. Have used this but it is now a backup because I had music cutout to frequently and the two pieces are kind off bulky (too large) while wearing and after awhile gets heavy. However the two earpieces unplug, giving you just a phone bluetooth.

If i could take the plug/unplug feature of the Jabra and put it on the Cerulean's then I would have the perfect setup. All three are currently paired with my iPhone so that which ever one I want to use will connect as soon as I turn it on. Hopefully, in the near future I will be able to drop the transmitter!

Hope this helps, Good Luck

I use the Jawbone with my Iphone and it works great for calls.

What I want to do is use one of these 3.5 Bluetooth adapters that plug into the headphone port instead of the adapters that plug into the charging port

to stream my music. I have seen other posts that say the Icombi and Jabra A125 work to stream to various bluetooth stereo headsets but my concern is charging the phone while using the adapter since they would both use the same port.

Please let me know if you have had any success with one of these units.

Thanks

thanks for all the input...

I think I may just go with one of the standard bluetooth devices, be it the iPhone bluetooth headset or one of those flashy mototola ones.

only question: What's so great about the bluetooth made specifically for the iPhone? Are there any features I would be missing out on if I go with a motorola?
