Hey fellas,
When I install Cyberduck (FTP program) it installs what looks like another drive to my desktop. It seems that everytime I shutdown and turn back on my computer it disappears from the desktop-as well as it cant come up in the finder or anywhere on my HD except the install. Is there something I'm missing or just plain stupid:confused:

Did you drag Cyberduck into the Applications folder?

Read the guides posted above. To install an app in OS X, you need to drag it to the Applications folder. Otherwise it stays in the disk image and is not installed.

Okay, not quite sure of the advantage with that is... but I guess it's cool as long as it doesn't store temp files and such that build up somewhere. thanks

It's a different system, but believe me, it's very clean and simple. You'll come to understand if you want :D.

Think of it like in Windows you download a .exe file in order to install a program. You have to still install the program from the .exe and then delete it.
