okie, so i decided to downgrade from 1.1.4 to 1.1.3 using Independece, especially cause my youtube and mail still were not working after forever trying to fix them, but once i downgraded back to 1.1.3, everything was working fine!!! maps, youtube, mail, the works, but i no longer have installer.app . is there any way to get it back without upgrading or using any other typs of jailbreaking programs??

iBook G4
OS X 10.4.11

hi,

sounds like you're using a Mac. i'm on a PC and upgraded to v1.1.4. however, i want to go back to v1.1.3, what do i need to do this?

i'm trying to use ZiPhone to unlock the iPhone so i can use it on a different GSM network, but i've already tried it and it doesn't seem to work. the only thing i think might be causing this problem is the fact that i upgraded to v1.1.4 prior to unlocking...

any help is appreciated and sorry i'm not able to help with your particular problem.

i used iTunes to upgrade to v1.1.4 and now after several attempts at restoring it, it will not let me choose v.1.1.3, only v1.1.4 to restore to... :(

I upgraded to 1.1.4, hated it and reverted to 1.1.3 (on my mac) using iTunes (option click -> 1.1.3) and then had to use independence to bring the phone back to life.

iTunes must be different on the PC, as i don't have an option that i can use to select v1.1.3. but thanks for the reply.

to go back to 1.1.3 on a PC restore to 1.1.3 with itunes (does this by holding shift and clicking restore and then choose the 1.1.3 firmware). If you get an error message 1015 that is fine, that means that 1.1.3 is on the phone. then just use ibrickr to boot the iphone out of DFU mode -> http://ibrickr.com/downloads/ibrickr_v0.91.zip

and then you can use ziphone
