I plan on buying a Macbook in a few weeks and was wondering how big of a problem the viewing angle is. Is it really an issue? Should I consider getting an external monitor. Also, do you ever feel like the 13.3 inch monitor is too small? I know they seem like little things, but I was just curious if any of you current owners consider these problems. Thanks!

Macbook screen size and viewing angle.

I like mine, viewing angles are all in check. and 13 is too small rarely, unless its paying you, do no pay for it!
I don't find the Macbook screen to be too small. It's fine for my use. I prefer a smaller size and don't want to lug a heaver and larger machine around. I could probably live with the 15" pro, but I suspect that 17" pro would feel like I was carrying a stone tablet around all the time.

I don't have a MacBook myself, but I use them daily at High School for Computer Tech, and the viewing angle is perfect. The 13" screen is just the right size. As an above poster said, not too small, but not so big you feel like you are carrying a stone tablet. however, this is from a 12" iBook G4 user, so my opinion may be different from those with 24" iMacs.
I don't know how much of a problem viewing angle is on a laptop. As long as it looks good when you're sitting directly in front of it, there is no problem. In fact, many people don't want to have a laptop that has a wide angle of view. Personally, I'd rather not have strangers sharing my screen with me when I'm out in public.

My point as well...
I'm really only concerned with sitting directly in front of my BlackBook 2.4 250GB. If you were talking about having it on your lap while in bed, then again, it does the job for me. If you are riding public transportation as I do (5) days a week, I like to have my BlackBook in my LapTrap (backpack that doubles as a lap-desk for my BlackBook) open and the screen viewing angle is perfect. I dislike having anyone looking over my shoulder to see what I writing or what website I'm checking out. The size of the screen is perfect for me, and if I need larger font, in Word '08 I can enlarge the view to 200%, and if I'm surfing I can change the display resolution to have larger font or larger everything for that matter.
