Hello all, sorry if this might be in the wrong area (mods move it if necessary)

Anywho, I burned an .avi file to a DVD using Toast. Everything went as planned (took FOREVER), and when I popped it into the DVD player, the movie was 100% BLACK AND WHITE.

I've had experience burning DVD's successfully for sometime, although this is my first time using Toast.. previously using windows and running DVDshrink/nero.

Any suggestions? maybe there is an advanced option that I accidently selected, but it seems to me like this is very weird. Thanks in advance!

Hi!

Where are you located? North America (and Japan, I believe) uses the NTSC standard for TVs while as Europa uses PAL.
Look at this and this for more information on the two formats.

Go to Toast Preferences and check under the Audio & Video tab if you have set the right TV Standard.

Hope this was helpful.
