Hey guys, I just received my 15" 2.5 mbp, my old netgear WGR654v5 router wasnt doing a good job connecting it wirelessly, spent time on the phone with a tech and ended up picking up an Airport Extreme. I inserted the cd and clicked the airport icon to install. The installation menu went flawlessly, but then there is airport extreme application in applications folder or anywhere else... what gives? (This is my first mac, hence for the noob question). Also internet wasnt working...then I tried installing AE application on my desktop pc, it installed and everything started working even on my mac. But god knows what is on my pc, and I dont want to configure or enter any passwords to configure airport extreme, thus I really want to do it on OSX but I dont know how to launch the application since its nowhere to be seen or found. What am I doing wrong here?
I havent tinkered with OSX at all, its freshly out of the box. But maybe there is something wrong with OSX itself, since when I downloaded Adium (chat client) I double clicked on the file it installed right into the applications and its fine. But when I downloaded the firefox installer, it mounts it, but doesnt install into the applications, everytime I need to launch FF it mounts that installation file. Again, sorry for all these noob questions, but Id rather be asking them then deal with XP or Vista.
