My parents got a virus on their PC (go figure) and I'm pretty sure it's nothing too serious but I convinced them to get a Mac Mini so I don't have to troubleshoot their PC anymore. The question is:

Assuming the virus that they got didn't do too much file structure damage, if they placed their hard drive in an external enclosure could they salvage the files from it even though it's formatted NTFS?

Thanks in advance.

You can also get the PC working, network it with the Mac and copy the files directly to the Mac.
