iPhone lights up?

My iphone sometimes lights up it's screen by itself without there being a call, email, sms or anything.

Anyone know what it means?
 
I've had the same thing happen. It will go from a completely blank screen to a lit up locked screen. Weird.
 
Yeah, mine has done that too.... its almost as though the screen is waking up or getting up to your current brightness setting. Weird, but tolerable.
 
Yeah i noticed that too..weird. I don't think it's sending diagnostic info back to Apple because i disabled that function in my case
 
It does that every time George Bush does a quick little wiretap, the phone lights when the CIA reads your email.

I have also seen that before but it hasn't happened in at least 2 months. Mine was jailbroken at the time but is now back to stock. It hasn't happened in its stock state at all.
