This will be my second mac...I am currently typing on a first gen blackbook. With it's Core Duo processor. It's a great machine!
Has served me well and I can't wait to get the MBP.
I am heading off to college in September but was in need of a new computer since my mothers laptop died and she will be getting to use this one when my MBP arrives! So I got my education pricing on it

I'm getting my 17" hi-res 17-18 March, not April
I am in a like situation. This will be my first mac computer, which I ordered on Feburary 26 when the laptop was updated.
I ordered a 17" hi-resolution screen.
According to Apple, the laptop will be shipped by the 18 of March and arrive by the 21 of the month of March.
Congrats on the purchase. I remember when I when from the consumer model (ibook G3 at the time) to the pro (PowerbookG4). My wife has a macbook so I get to use one quite often but I would never trade my 17" High Res MBP for anything else.

I am going for an IT degree at school so for me I wanted the power since I multitask a lot and do a lot of picture editing and the such. Plus it can run windows (ugh) and Linux so I will be able to get some time in with all three OS.

My shipment has not been updated since it was shipped on 6 March. I guess I'll have to wait until Monday or something.. :/

if your MBP has moved, they'll know about it. I dont understand why they are more up to date than Fed-Ex's own site.
I ordered mine on Wednesday. I'm getting a 2.4 GB / 250 GB to replace 5 1/2-year-old PowerMac G4. Very exciting.

I can try simpletracking, but my MBP are going to Sweden, Stockholm.. So I don't think simpletracking is going to work.. Sorry for posting it in this thread. :/
