need Safari help, please!

every time I open up Safari or Firefox, I try to go to a website, but it freezes almost every time
it loads about 75% of the website and then the rainbow colored pinwheel comes up and i have to quit the application
is there any clue on why this is happening???

it is weird...when I try to load the page, it loads to about 75% and then the entire browser freezes. I can't scroll up or down or anything.
It just recently started doing this.
I've got a MacBook, running the newest version of Leopard.

It just started doing it on my intel imac too. I don't have any problems with my powerbook.

I have noticed that it has something to do with websites that have automatic video on the home page.
