Song editing, iTunes or GB?

Can iTunes edit songs? Meaning, say I have a 3 minute song I'd like to chop down and edit out an intro or edning on, etc can that program do that or do I need to go through something like Garageband?

Definitely GarageBand. It's soo much easier than I would've ever thought! Just make sure you do Share > Send Song to iTunes to get it converted in the most convenient way.
