External HD & Time Machine

When I ran Time Machine, it wanted to dedicate my whole EXHD to the time maching backup..what If I want 50% Time Machine Backup and the other 50% for personal storage?

u can use disk utility to partition your HD to 2 diff partitions. U can even name one of them Time Capsule !!:D
