Hey everyone,
getting a iPhone soon, should I use a screen protector? I've seen a Iphone safety test on youtube and it looked amazing. Do you use one?

Thanks,

Josh

I had one on my iPod 5G after I saw the first scratches hit the screen due to the jacket I had for it back then. It kinda worked like an anti-glare filter as well. But I got some water under it recently and took it off.

I don't know about for iPhone. I'm in your same boat (once I get one). I don't want the screen getting all scratched, but I do wonder if the touch capabilities are hindered by those.

I've had them on our iPhones since we bought them back in August. Can't say it's helped, but it sure hasn't hurt.

If you want my opinion, use the ones they sell at the Apple store. The screen is pretty tough on its own, but I like the feeling of knowing that I have a screen protector on there. Just in case.
As far as it interfering with the touch screen, not at all! I think it actually improves it. I think they go for $15 for a three-pack.
Hope this helped.

The ones at the Apple store are the way to go, like mentioned above. I guess it depends on how careful you are with your devices. Mine is in a protected case all the time unless I'm using it and I'm always very careful with it. I have no scratches on my screen what so ever. It is a lot tougher to scratch this screen compared to a PDA screen which is plasticy.

I have an anti-glare protector on the phone-- good for when you watch movies; my touch screen has lost "no touch" i guess you could say!

i agree. i use the anti-glare ones from the apple store and am very pleased. when i used it without them, there were so many smudges and it drove me crazy but with the screen protector, there are none. works perfect for what i need.

Order a privacy filter screen protector on ebay (a few of them), shipped from Hong Kong and looks great. Protects the screen and also have installed the full body shield from Invisible Shield. Carry it around naked with no case, and looks and feels great.
